Individual Psychotherapy
Individual psychotherapy is a collaborative process that provides space to explore emotional concerns, life stressors, health-related challenges, and personal goals. Therapy is tailored to each individual and grounded in evidence-based practice, with an emphasis on understanding the full context of a person’s experiences.
My approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with a person-centered framework, balancing structured, skills-based work with warmth, curiosity, and respect for the individual. Therapy is not one-size-fits-all. Treatment is shaped by your goals, values, strengths, and lived experience.
I work with individuals from diverse cultural, linguistic, and personal backgrounds, and I view culture, identity, and life context as essential—not peripheral—to the therapeutic process. Care is approached through a multicultural lens, integrating each person’s cultural background, beliefs, and experiences into assessment, understanding, and treatment.
Therapy may support a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, stress, trauma-related symptoms, adjustment to medical conditions, chronic pain, sleep difficulties, and performance or goal-focused work. Sessions may involve reflection, skills development, and practical strategies aimed at improving day-to-day functioning and overall well-being.
Clients and therapist work collaboratively to develop treatment goals and guide the direction of therapy. The pace and focus of work are adjusted as needs evolve, with an emphasis on fostering insight, resilience, and meaningful change.
