Dr. Catarina Lally
Hello!
I am a licensed clinical psychologist who approaches this work with curiosity, care, and a deep respect for the complexity of people’s lives. Originally from Portugal, I bring a multicultural perspective to my work and am trilingual, offering services in English, Portuguese, and Spanish. I have over a decade of experience working with immigrants from diverse countries and backgrounds, and this work has deeply shaped my understanding of identity, resilience, and the impact of systemic and life stressors on mental health.
My clinical training is rooted in health psychology and integrated care. I have experience working with veterans and first responders, particularly in the treatment of trauma and PTSD, as well as in using health psychology approaches to support sleep difficulties and chronic pain. My therapeutic approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy within a person-centered framework, allowing for both structured, skills-based interventions and reflective, collaborative work that honors each individual’s lived experience, culture, and values.
I completed my academic training across Portugal, France, and the United States, where I earned my PsyD. I am a clinical psychologist licensed in the state of Connecticut and hold PSYPACT authorization, which allows me to provide telehealth services in all participating PSYPACT states. In addition to psychotherapy, I provide immigration psychological evaluations and professional consultation, approaching this work with care, clarity, and an awareness of the emotional weight these processes can carry.
Across all areas of my work, I strive to create a steady, respectful space—one that honors each person’s story while approaching care with intention, cultural humility, and clinical integrity.
